Okay, I'll start...
Since high school, hmm - that ends up being a little long. But here goes -
I spent 4 years at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, including a study abroad in Russia, where I met an amazing guy named Peter, who's now my husband. Peter is from Denmark, so after we got married in 2002 we decided to move to Europe. We spent a year in France, after which I spent a year in Sweden to get my master's degree in Peace and Conflict Research. When I was done we moved to Copenhagen, where Peter's lived for quite some time. That's where we are now. I hadn't gotten any farther on my career than an internship at the US Embassy here when we found out we had a little one on the way. So, other than an intensive Danish language course and some volunteer work, I've just been a stay-at-home mom for the last little while. I now have a baby named Katie, born last September, who is a joyful and amazing gift. If you want to catch some pictures of her and other ramblings, my blog is at http://cphyankee.blogspot.com. Hope to hear from others of you!

I can't begin to describe the significance of these years for me developmentally--but I'll hit the storyline highlights.
My first four years out were at George Fox. I studied Philosophy and History, worked in residence life, and was transformed by all the above.
Although I may have seemed comfortable in my own skin, it was in college that I finally really became so. And although I'd been plenty opinionated before, my positions on many things changed, for the better I'd like to think.
I guess I grew up. I like being an adult much more than a kid.
Afteward, I bummed in Newberg for a year, working at Intel, grantwriting, and continuing my four-year church music stint. During that year, I started dating Trina, the best companion I've ever known. And she's darn cute. And smart.
Then I hit grad school--a masters in Higher Ed Leadship (still have plans to pursue a dual doctorate in History and Philosophy, in a couple years). I also taught college students, which I enjoyed immensely.
After writing my thesis, I got hitched (a day late, thanks to an ice storm--some of you were there), and basically disappeared for eight months like a good newlywed.
In October, I started on at my most recent job atChicago Title. I am in lender sales, and I work with people mostly 20 years older than me, which is unusual in sales. Basically, they are seasoned; I am not.
But I'm doing very well there; it turns out I have a gift for persuasion.
My wife (she manages all the marketing for a mid-sized software firm) and I pretty much rush home to be together after work, just because we like to be together.
Right now I'm training to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
I'm still wordy. Obviously.
Hmm hmm hmm ... What have I done since high school? That seems about a million years and a million miles away right now. I live in Abbotsford, BC, with my wife Lana and our wonderful daughter Noelle, who was born November 28 of last year. I met her (my wife, that is) in university (TWU - it's here in BC, near where we live now) and married her just after getting a degree in Applied Linguistics. Haven't done much application, yet, but I'm planning on ... oh wait, I'm not planning on using that immediately.
In order to stay in Canada, I started a Master of Divinity, but have not finished (halfway through). I've worked a few places since high school, most notably: I now am manager at a storage facility.
Not sure if we are planning on going back into full-time vocational ministry (we did that for a while and got a little burned - talk to me for more details), but we are definitely involved at our church, Abbotsford Vineyard Church, where I currently sometimes lead bible studies.
Hope to hear from more of you! Check out my blog at Peace to you all!
So much has happened in 8 years, yet it seems to have gone by so quickly...
I spent 4 years at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. I graduated in 2002 with my Bachelors in Visual Art. After that I moved to Northridge, CA to complete a one year Graphic Design Certificate program at Moorpark College. After the program ended, I made the tough decision to stay in L.A. rather than move back home to Oregon. The Southern California climate had healed the skin condition on my hands, and I could live pain free (so that made the choice for me). Shortly after that decision I met Will, my best friend and now husband, at church. We just got married on April 8, 2006 in an amazing ceremony! God is so good! We are currently living in a very small studio guesthouse with hopes to save for our own place in the near future. (California prices don't make that too easy). :)
Will works in his family's business managing teams restoring sites where TV shows, commercials, and movies have been filmed. He also assists a Set Designer from time to time. I work for an organization that aids domestic violence victims. I manage all the data and run reports for the state and L.A. county. Now that things are calming down after the wedding, I hope to start working again on getting my own Graphic Design business up and running! I would love to run the business from home, so we can start a family in a few years. You can check it out at www.blueiriscreations.com
All I can say is that I feel so blessed by God! Thanks for reading my update...
